In the small corral that holds so many memories, in which on best friend I have ever known used to sleep, I have come to mentally visualize that he is still there, that he will always be waiting for me to come and feed him, for me to come and pat him and groom him, I can just imagine his slinder, blazed face, and his expressive, deep eyes peering out at me from under a long, flaxen forelock, and I can see me as I approach him, sunlight dancing on his red-brown coat.
There is a part of me that is glad that he has passed, to know that She can never hurt him again is a great mind settler, but to know that I may never see him again, kills me. I believe in God, and I believe in heaven, however, I also believe that animals do have souls, same as people. But if I am wrong, I may not see my beautiful friend ever again.

On a happier note-

I went for a tril ride yesterday (sat. 0ct. 24. 09) on Adobe, and my friends were riding Missy, Miss Kay, Lucy,and Cleo, and Adobe and Misy were acting up, and finally, Missy began bucking, rearing and crow hopping, Fanny, fell, and face planted right into a bush, Missy took off, riderless into the desert. of course, she circled back and came around again, but Why didnt I get a picture of Missy running head-long away from us? (maybe some one just doesnt think of some thing like that at that exact moment) Adobe was just as bad, crow hopping, and taking off with me once, however I stuck to him and turned him around in circles til we were bth dizzy, and as Adobe is, he was an angel after that performance. Ugh, horses, cant hardly live with them, cant hardly live with out them.
